My wife and I hired ICC to remove our old carpet and install LVP throughout the upstairs, basement, main-floor office, and both staircases in October 2025. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations for a ~$20,000 project.

What Went Well:
• Our project/sales rep arrived prepared with flooring samples that matched our main level and had researched the home’s build sheets for accurate square footage.
• The sales rep worked with us through multiple quote variations as we debated between carpet and gym flooring.
• The demo/installation crews on days 1–3 arrived on time, removed the carpet efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves.
• Crews were respectful and kept to themselves.

Where the Project Fell Apart:
• ICC ran out of materials four separate times.
• At least five different crews worked on the project, ranging widely in skill level — some felt like “B” teams while others felt like “C” teams.
• The wrong bullnose was installed on five steps. Fixing it required three attempts because they didn’t bring the correct adhesive.
• A project quoted as three days dragged out to almost two months.
• Communication dropped significantly after day three, and we were even made to feel as though we were being “too picky.”
• After day three, crews would show up or leave without notice or consistency.
• Quarter round was left unsecured in several places, and caulking wasn’t done.
• Both staircases were only partially caulked.
• No explanation was given for why floor leveler wasn’t used in the basement despite it being expected; the project manager didn’t seem aware it was even missing.
• Each stair tread required trimming that left visible voids on each step. These voids were never filled or caulked—an obvious eyesore.
• White backer boards on steps were left dirty and scuffed after installation.
• There was zero quality control and no final walkthrough before ICC considered the project “complete.”

We now have to spend several days caulking floors and stairs, securing loose quarter round, and repainting backer boards and staircases just to bring the work up to an acceptable standard.

ICC did offer a $1,000 discount after the second material issue, but the problems continued well past that point. The project took an extra month to complete and still didn’t meet a reasonable quality level for a high end flooring job.

Bottom line: I would not recommend ICC for large or high-end projects. Expect inconsistent crews, poor communication, a lack of ownership when issues arise, and constant re-explaining because the team changes almost daily. Some issues are understandable on a job this size—but what we experienced went far beyond acceptable for a $20K investment.

We love our new basement wet bar from ICC! The process was seamless and it was great to choose everything in one stop. The showroom is huge with lots of options and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with our recent carpet install with ICC! This was not an easy decision, lots of choices…but it turned out great. Skipp W. was patient and helpful as I endured the decision process. So many things to consider and Skipp was great to help with all my questions. Installers were professional, very attentive to questions and moved an entire house of furniture to do this job. They did this all in 2 days. Everything worked out just as they said it would. Pricing was very competitive and they warranty their installation for 2 years. Love our new carpet! Thanks, Skipp and all those at ICC that made this happen!

Concerns disregarded repeatedly by salesperson and "on-site supervisor". Estimator acknowledged the difficult installation issues and said could be done if the right installers were used. Supervisor did finally admit the issues with our subfloor were very difficult at the very end of installation.
Installers unfamiliar with the particular flooring installation, installers did not prepare subfloor correctly for installation until 4th attempt and 21/2 mos. of upheaval in our house. Resorted to documenting with photos and involving the main supervisor at the store. Furniture, drywall and appliances damaged by installers. 7 boxes of unused flooring were not left or reimbursed. Directed to provide 2 1/2 times the shoemold as used to the cost of approximately $250. Wish we would have gone with our local flooring company who acknowledged the difficulty with the installation from the beginning. Unfortunately we took the recommendation of this company by an interior decorator. Will not make that mistake again. Have never had such an experience.
